ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Walter Mirisch (1921 - ) on of the three Mirisch Brothers
who founded the Mirisch Company.
Mirisch's other works include: WEST SIDE STORY, THE GREAT ESCAPE,
MIDWAY, and SAME TIME NEXT YEAR.
In 1983 Walter Mirisch was given the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian
Award.
NOTES & TRIVA
Stirling Silliphant received the Screenplay (based on material
from another medium) Oscar. While Samuel Goldwyn Studio Department
was awarded the Oscar for Best Sound. Hal Ashby received his Oscar
for Editing.
The original novel was written by John Ball.
