ABOUT THE FILM
The film follows the trials and tribulations of Karen Blixen, a woman who traveled to Africa to start a plantation. Along the way a love triangle ensures between Blixen, her husband, and her lover Denys. Other complications arise in the addressing of schooling the natives, foreign diseases, land management, and prospects of war.
Sydney Pollack (who also won the Oscar for direction).
