A Day at the Races (1937)
The nefarious Morgan is intent on seizing Judy's sanitarium and transforming it into a lucrative casino. But Morgan will have to fend off the heroic efforts of Dr. Hugo Hackenbush, horse doctor turned farcical sanitarium director, Tony, local sanitarium helper, and Stuffy, Morgan's formerly employed jockey. Meanwhile Judy's boyfriend, singer Gil, invests his fortune on the horse Hi Hat in hopes his predicted victory will be profit enough to save Judy's sanitarium. But of course Morgan attempts to meddle with the races, it turns out Hi Hat may be more of a jumper than a racer, and a hypochondriac enters the scene to add to the suspense.
