Plot: When aging L.A. football player Terry Brogan is cut early in the rounds, he takes a job from Jake Wise to get some quick cash.. The assignment... to track down Wise's girlfriend Jessie who's gallivanting in Mexico. When Brogan finds Jessie, daughter of a wealthy land developer and owner of Terry's Team, he quickly falls in love, thinking Jessie is equally smitten. But when Jessie splits to L.A. to be with Jake in what seems a forced relationship of tangled motives, Terry begins to research the reasons why Jake's relationship with Jessie has a slew of politicians and environmentalists interested in a specific land deal.
