Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) - PG

Widowed suddenly after years of domesticity, Alice Hyatt decides to travel to Monterey, California with her 11-year-old son Tommy to resume a long-deferred singing career. In Phoenix, Arizona she lands a job singing at a piano bar and starts a relationship with a man named Ben, who turns out to be married and abusive. In Tucson, she puts her dream of singing on hold and becomes a waitress, then meets a farmer, David, and begins to think anew about a life of domesticity.

The cast includes: Ellen Burstyn, Kris Kristofferson, Harry Northrup, Harvey Keitel, Diane Ladd, and Vic Tayback.
