After a puppeteer discovers a secret door that allows him to enter the mind and life of John Malkovich for fifteen minutes he decides to turn his ingenious find into a profitable side business by teaming up with his colleague Maxine. Together the two begin selling "trips" for a decent price, that is, until Malkovich figures out what is going on and tries to stop his mind from being invaded before things get really out of hand.
