Utilized for police work, but specially designed to navigate the insurrectionary streets, Blue Thunder is a technologically advanced helicopter who's creators want to show off it's vast capabilities. In order to do so, L.A. Police pilot Frank Murphy is chosen to be trained in how to both fly the machine and navigate it in the city. But with Murphy and the project's pilot having dissenting opinions about everything, it seems there might be more to Blue Thunder than was initially disclosed to Murphy.

The cast includes: Roy Scheider, Daniel Stern, Warren Oates, Candy Clark, Joe Santos, David Sheiner, Paul Roebling, Malcolm McDowell, and Jason Bernard.
