Brainstorm (1983 - PG)

When research developers Lillian Reynolds and Michael Brace develop a recording system that plays back actual experiences of people, they begin working on improving their new device by developing a way to literally tap into "higher brain functions." Able to literally tap into someone else's brain and trace their memories. Michael Brace uses the system to reconnect with his estranged wife, but others start using the system to abuse sexual experiences and other such immoral incidentals.  When the government catches wind of their new system, however, they try to kick Michael and Lillian off the project. Claiming to use the system for producing "missile guidance systems," it quickly becomes clear that they intend to use the system for anything but. As many a murder ensues in an order to cover up the morally questionable research being conducted, Michael must do his best to prevent things from becoming totally out of control.
