Chato's Land (1972) - PG A British Western that skews the conventional U.S. Western perspective from cowboy to Indian, respectively. The film depicts the 'noble' savage and his fight to remain free, no matter the cost. Avenging his ancestors, protecting his family, his tribe, and his heritage, Chato fights to keep the imperialistic ventures of ‘white man’ and their precepts of “justice” from encroaching too closely to his land and his people. The cast includes: Charles Bronson, Jack Palance, James Whitmore, Simon Oakland, Ralph White, Richard Jordan, Richard Baseheart, Victor French, and Sonia Rangan. Directed by: Michael Winner.
