Children of a Lesser god (1986 - R)

Working at a school for the deaf, new speech teacher James begins to fall for one of his pupils, Sarah. Though she first shuns his approaches, including his lipped love messages, in time James hopes to change Sarah’s opinions about him, herself, and the world.
