Clockwork Orange (1971 - R)

Set in future Britain, a trio of anarchist teenagers wreak havoc on the nightly streets of England, raping and pillaging their victims in promethean Viking fashion. After ringleader Alex is incarcerated for the crimes, he is sent to a mental ward where innovative technologies will attempt to purify him of his sinful temptations. But once reintroduced to society Alex has a hard time fending for himself in a dog eat dog world that is still haunted by the likes of his old gang.

The cast includes: Alexander McDowell, Michael Bates, Paul Farrell, Clive Francis, James Marcus, Warren Clarke, Carl Duering, Michael Gover, and Miriam Karlin.

CLOCKWORK ORANGE was nominated for the Best Picture award.
