Meanwhile Judith's horse trainer, who is secretly in love with her, encourages her to "seize the day," In doing so, she marries Steele, who becomes determined to find a cure for her illness. But when business calls Steele away from his wife, complications with her eyesight hint at the encroachment of a crisis that Dr. Steele is helpless to avoid.
