The remaining survivors of French Foreign Legion are desperately trying to kill 1960's French President DeGaulle. But being the most closely guarded person in the world, the Legion hires the Jackal, a notorious hitman, to do the job for a half million dollars. With an intimate portrait of the Jackals meticulous preparations for the job the tension builds as the audience awaits to see if he can actually pull the job off before the French police catch him first.
