In this witty satire one is exposed to the unconventional ways of high school life in Southern California as chronicled by Cameron Crowe in his novel from which the screenplay was adapted. With stoned-surfer Jeff Spicoli as the center of the film, the movie focuses on his intentions to undermine the oppressive Mr. Hand. Meanwhile Stacy Hamilton and Mark Ratner are corroborated into a 'friendly affair' that goes awry after their friends Linda Barrett and Mike Damone work together to set the two up.
