Father of the Bride (1950)

Similar to its remake, Stanley Banks is the proud father of his beautiful daughter Kay. But when she announces her engagement via the day of the wedding itself, the trip down memory lane and into the new lives of Kay and her husband proves to be a hilarious disaster full of new and old surprises.

The cast includes: Elizabeth Taylor, Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Don Taylor, Leo G. Carroll, Moroni Olson, Melville Cooper, Paul Harvey, and Taylor Holmes.
