Following the rise and fall of the famous Civil War hero, "Stonewall" Jackson, "Gods and Generals"  documents the historic Civil War from the viewpoint of the defeated South, commencing just after Fort Sumter and ending with the infamous Battle of Gettysburg.  Along the way, many a battle ensue, and of course, love trysts and commentary on the institution of slavery can be expected.
