Australian cutie Sandy ventures to America for the summer where she steals the heart of local town 'cool guy', T-Bird leader Danny Zuko. With their fling coming to an end Zuko and Sandy emotionally part ways. So when Sandy's family decides to stay in America and enrolls her in the same school as Zuko one would think that he would be ecstatic to see her. But with a cool image to preserve it seems Zuko has suddenly turned the cold shoulder. In a series of musical numbers, catfights, and classic scenes recounting high school life of the seventies, the film centers on Danny and Sandy's attempts to preserve their image and their puppy love.
