In a modern Americanized version of Charles Dickens' infamous tale, the story follows a modest man from humble backgrounds who falls for "the rich girl" in town. All seems hopeless until a peculiar benefactor claims to have the power to make the beautiful aristocrat fall for the powerless groundling. But will the ploy to force love render problematical consequences?
