USN Commander James Ferraday has been ordered to recruit british civilian David Jones, U.S. Marine's Captain Anders and his platoon, affable Russian Boris Vasilov, and the crew of the nuclear sub USS Tigerfish to the North Pole to rescue the crew of weather station Drift Ice Station Zebra. Upon arrival, the mission takes an interesting turn as someone does their best to prevent Mission Ice Station Zebra's completion.
