Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994 - R) In 1791, after the sudden death of his wife, New Orlean's plantation owner, Louis, has lost his will to live. Vampire Lestat finds Louis affable and offers him a chance at joining him in immortality. With consent, Lestat turns Louis into a vampire and begins to teach him the ways of the night. But unable to take life, unlike Lestat, Louis grows to regret his decision. Ready to leave, Lestat turns a little girl into a vampire to persuade Louis to stay. With Louis narrating the story 200 years later, he tells of his adventures in death, love, and trouble to a young San Franciscan reporter.
