K-19, The Widowmaker (2002)

Based on the story of the USSR's first nuclear ballistic submarine, the film documents the malfunction of the sub's nuclear reactor during its maiden voyage in 1961. Racing against the clock, Captain Alexi Vostrikov and his crew hope to dismantle the bomb before anther nuclear disaster strikes the planet, killing the crew and much, much more, in its disastrous wake.  Of course, political upheaval ignites over the instable submarine as well.

The cast includes: Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Peter Stebbings, Sam Spruell, Christian Camargo, Sam Redford, and Roman Podhora.
