A habitual liar and conniving attorney, Fletcher Reid is in for a surprise of his own when, after disappointing his son for the very last time, he suddenly succumbs to the power of his son's birthday wish: he can't lie for 24 hours. With his brash mouth finally speaking the truth, Reid suddenly finds himself in a whirlwind of trouble, both legal and personal, as he struggles to maintain his practice and keep his ex-wife from picking up and moving with his son to Boston.
