After tiring her father for years with over zealous spending habits, wealthy shop-aholic Jessi Montgomery is visited by her fairy godmother Stella. In an attempt to cure Jessie of her wasteful habits, Stella casts a spell on Jessie turning her into a penniless wandered, her father Charles now never having a daughter, and is forced to earn a living as a maid for an particularly peculiar pair, the Starkeys.
