The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976)

When the "humanoid" extraterrestrial, Thomas Jerome Newton, arrives on Earth in search of water for his dying planet, he finds himself suddenly involved in a high-tech company that will back the financial expenses needed to supply materials and technology for the construction of a space craft that will return Newton home with his precious cargo.  But the inevitable greedy wanderlust of humans severely complicates matters along the way.

The cast includes: David Bowie, Rip Torn, Candy Clark, Buck Henry, and Tony Mascia.
