Metropolis (1927)
A largely socio-political commentary, "Metropolis" envisions a future where humans have been subdivided into the two groups: man who can create the vision, and man who can produce the vision. Equally dependent on one-another to create a functioning society, the film follows one of the visionary's adventures as he traverses underground into the worker bee grounds and is taken aback by what he discovers. The cast includes: Alfred Abel, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, Gustav Frolich, Frtiz Rasp, Theodor Loos, and Brigitte Helm. Directed by: Fritz Lang.
