Norma Rae is a single mother and tired textile worker employed by a tyrannical factory with unbearable work conditions. When she steps forwards as the key associate to a labor union organizer, the two decide to tackle the risky struggle of unionizing her factory in hopes they will improve conditions if victorious.

The cast includes: Sally Field, Ron Leibman, Beau Bridges, Pat Hingle, Gail Strickland, Barbara Baxley, Margan Paull, Robert Broyles, and John Calvin.

NORMA RAE was nominated for the Best Picture award.
