Tom Farrell is a navy officer having an affair with Susan Atwell the mistress of the secretary of defense David Brice. When Susan winds up dead Tom is assigned to her case in which the suspected killer is supposedly a KGB mole. Things take an interesting turn for Tom when his photo negative is found at Susan's place leaving him only a few hours to find her killer before the computer regenerates his photo!

The cast includes: Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman, Will Patton, Sean Young, Howard Duff, Leon Russom, and George Dzundza.
