Jerry Landers spends his days helping manage a supermarket. Although Landers is a good citizen, he is far from religious, and nevertheless perplexed when a slew of invitations to interview with God keep appearing in the mail. After finally accepting, and of course meeting the Almighty himself, he is instructed to carry God's message of making do with what God has given us. But when an evangelist is murdered and Landers is involved in the court case, will he be able to successfully spread God’s word, or will his lack of faith fumble the plan?
