Outbreak (1995)

Army virologist Sam Daniels (an intense Dustin Hoffman) is confronted by the terrifying prospect of a deadly new airborne virus that has spread throughout a small California town. While his superiors prepare to incinerate the town to halt the contagion, Daniels, aided by an army colleague (Cuba Gooding Jr.) races to find the virus's animal host and synthesize a serum. An all-star cast --  Rene Russo, Morgan Freeman, Donald Sutherland and Kevin Spacey -- lends their firepower to this explosive thriller.
