After starlet/substance-addict Suzanne Vale has a spell at a detox center, her film company insists she live with her mother, Dorris Mann, if she wishes continued employment. But Miss Man is a diva turned alcoholic herself. After years of struggling to come from under her mother's shadow and tainted reputation, it seems things couldn't get any worse for Suzanne, that is, until men begin to enter the picture. Through a comedic series of events the dysfunctional mother-daughter duo learns about life, love, and the bonds of family.
