Naive socialite Judy Benjamin randomly decides to join the US Army after her husband dies on their wedding night. There, she finds herself in the position of quite the laughing matter and finds herself to be quite miserable as the butt of many sexual jokes. But when things turn sticky and Judy gets transferred to NATO headquarters in France where she meets her new love Frenchman Henri things start looking up for Private Judy Benjamin.
