Reds (1981 - R)

Based on the true story of radical American journalist, John Reed. Writer, Louise Bryant, attends a lecture in 1912, thereafter finding herself mesmerized by the eloquent, albeit radical journalist, John Reed. Inspired to leave her husband, Louise heads to New York's
Greenwich Village, sparking a love affair with her newly renovated career and personal life. In the arms of Reed, Louise finds herself encouraged to cover the 1913 Armory Show, documenting post-impressionistic European paintings with zeal unbeknownst to her
former self. But love and politics is harder than Louise thought, and soon she finds herself bouncing back between Reed, and playwright, Eugene O'Neill. Though she tries several times to reignite the relationship with Reed, his coverage in 1917 Revolution promises to
change the face of American journalism, as much as Louise's life, forever.

The cast includes: Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Edward Herrmann, Diane Keaton, Paul Sorvino, Jerzy Kosinski, Maureen Stapleton, M. Emmet Walsh, and Nicholas Coster.

Directed by: Warren Beatty.
