Nerdier than nerdy geeks Gilbert and Lewis are about to begin their freshman year at Adams College where rough'n'tough bad boys of the Alpha Beta fraternity do their best to torture the helpless duo. Things get pretty ugly when the Beta boys trickery ends up burning down the house, forcing the freshman out of the dorm. Adding to the list of problems is Lewis's growing crush on Beta's sorority sister/ quarterback's girlfriend Betty Childs. But with the help of Pointdexter and Booger the nerds formalize their own fraternity and aspire to beat the brawny jocks with their brainy warfare in the annual Greek competition.
