Rob Roy (1995)

This drama set in the Scottish highlands of the 1700s tells the story of an honorable and upright Scottish cattle drover, Rob Roy (Liam Neeson), who takes out a loan from the local nobility so that his townsmen can survive. When the villainous swordsman Archibald (played by Tim Roth) steals the money, murders Roy's best friend (Eric Stoltz), rapes his wife (Jessica Lange), Roy takes to the hills with a handful of followers. A riveting and emotionally powerful sword duel between Roy and Archibald caps off this stirring tale.
