Rules of Engagement (2000)

Anticipating an international crisis, the U.S. government sends Colonel Terry Childers (Samuel L. Jackson) to rescue the U.S. ambassador and his family from the American embassy in Yemen. Childers accomplishes the mission, but 80 civilians are killed in the process. Sensing an impending court martial that will put him in prison for life, Childers' hopes turn to Col. Hayes Hodges (Tommy Lee Jones), who both defends and doubts his client, who saved him in Vietnam many years ago.
