When daughter Rosy Shaughnessy takes over her father's (Ryan Shaugnessy) bar for the day, her only customer is a strapping young English officer who catches her fancy. As the two lovebirds engage in the romantic trappings of courtship, the notion of WWI suddenly seems far away. That is, until Irish revolutionaries show up at Ryan's pub and things get complicated as the ties of loyalty and love are tested.
