She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949)

On the eve of retirement Capt. Nathan Brittles heads out to stop a potential (massive) Indian attack. Damsels in distress only further complicate the situation as Brittles find that elusive dream of retirement fading into the sunset with dawn bringing a vision of chaos and peril.
