Showtime (2002 - PG13)

LAPD Detective Sergeant, Mitch Preston, is teamed up LAPD Patrol Officer, Trey Sellars, when his partner is shot. But the whole "shooting episode" thing gets complicated; during the shooting, Mitch shoots the camera out of a reporter's hand that refused to leave the scene. Unfortunately for Mitch, however, he finds himself slapped with a $10 million lawsuit. Consequently, the department decides to let producer Chase Renzi film Mitch's next investigation as a form of payback: a new reality TV show that makes Mitch's job more "user friendly" á la a stereotypical depiction of the police force. Along the way, of course, Mitch's new "partner," Trey, doesn't exactly help the matter.

The cast includes: Robert DeNiro and Eddie Murphy.
