Silent Running (1972 - G)

Lowell Freeman is an outer space crewman of the Earth's "greenhouse spaceships" which harbor the entirety of earth's nature reserves. Loyal to his work, when his is instructed to abandon his forests and return to earth he employs the help of three robots to overthrow his fellow authorities and save the forests. This gripping and futuristic sci-fi film portrays some real-life issues in a startlingly disarming way.
