The year is 1958 and four prolific pilots are disheartened after their backstabbing leader disbands them from the newly established NASA, snuffing their dreams of going to outer space. With an abrupt flash to the present, the four men; now an electrical engineer, crop-duster, roller coaster designer, and a Baptist minister, take on the daunting task of undermining their old boss and saving the day by bringing down a Russian 'satellite' operating via stolen technology that, surprise, one of the four men originally created. Looks like the boys will get their chance to head into space after all!

The cast includes: Donald Sutherland, Tommy Lee Jones, Clint Eastwood, James Garner, James Cromwell, Loren Dean, and Marcia Gay Harden.
