In the quiet suburb of Stepford women happily conform to the conventional ways of the 1950's housewife. But when new neighbors Joanna and Bobbie discover that the town's wives have all been replaced by robots, Bobbie wants in on some of the action too. As Joanna realizes the horrible truth of her forecasted fate, the Stepford men hide her children before she can take them and leave town. With Joanna on the search for her kids and the missing wives, can she too avoid being replaced, and how exactly will they replace her?
