SUM OF ALL FEARS (2002) - PG13

When the Russian president suddenly dies, his precarious replacement sparks fear with U.A. officials of a resurrection of Cold War political snafus. With the CIA placing director Bill Cabot at the head of the 'maybe-crisis', Cabot hires a young analyst as his undercover agent to supply possible insight and evidence on the scenario. In the midst of Ryan's sleuthing evidence emerges that suggests the unthinkable: nuclear war, which manifests itself on American soil in a meta-tragic nuclear explosion at a football stadium in Baltimore. But with the Americans quick to blame the Russians, it seems there may be an undetected third party at the helm of the political mayhem, and, unless they are exposed in time, nuclear war just may be the prevailing possibility.
