Sunset Boulevard (1950)

Bankrupt screenwriter Joe Gillis spends his time hiding from care reposessors in the garage of retired silent film starlet Norma Desmond's old deserted-looking mansion. So Joe turns to script-reader/confidante Betty Schaefer, but is it too late?

The cast includes: William Holden, Gloria Swanson, Nancy Olson, Fred Clark, Erich von Stroheim, and Jack Webb.

SUNSET BOULEVARD was nominated for the Best Picture award.
