The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) - R

After four color-codenamed gunmen (think Reservoir Dogs) hijack a New York subway train, they threaten to kill off all the 'hostages' unless they receive a million dollar bounty within the hour. With a veteran NY officer at the head of the case, he attempts to negotiate with the gunmen and avoid any casualties. Trapped in a tunnel, it seems only time will tell if and how the gunmen intend to escape, and at that point, how many people will be left standing.

The cast includes: Walter Matthau, Hector Elizondo, Martin Balsam, Robert Shaw, Dick O'Neill, Lee Wallace, Earl Hindman, James Broderick, Tom Pedi, and Beatrice Winde.
