Now in his twenties, a matured John Connor lives sans technology from fear of their effect as a child. With SkyNet having failed twice they send their latest machine the Terminatrix (T-X) to kill, not only John, but also his future. With a new, slightly upgraded Terminator sent as John's guardian, John once again is forced to confront SkyNet and their malicious plans, fight for his life, learn how to accept a Terminator, and discover that his life course is ultimately to change again.
