Terms of Endearment is a story about a mother and daughter with radically different philosophies on life. When daughter Emma gets married, mother Aurora shows daughter how difficult and loving she really can be. As the movie tracks their lives through the years, we watch mother and daughter find different ways to find and display love and affection. When Aurora begins fraternizing with next door neighbor Garrett Breedlove, retired astronaut, we learn just how truly different mother and daughter can truly be, but also, how there's never a right or wrong way to love, it simply is.
