In 1900 a resolute Lucy Muir is determined to live by the British seaside in Gull Cottage, despite rumors that its haunted. Her first night in the haunted house she encounters its former owner, Captain Gregg who refuses to be pushed out. Over time Lucy grows accustomed to her bedroom being haunted by a man and the two become friendly allies more or less. With feelings developing between two mortal realms, will a new man's courting of Miss Muir come in between her and Captain Gregg?
