Awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor after the Korean War, Raymond Shaw is a man to revered, or is he? Fellow C.O. Ben Marco can't stop having nightmares after the war and begins to suspect the justification of Shaw's medal. When Marco discovers he isn't the only soldier from the war suffering from the same horrible nightmares he goes to authorities and is given permission to begin investigating the true meaning of the dreams, and how they connect to Shaw.
