The Money Pit (1990)

Though they don't have much money, Walter Fielding and Anna Crowley need to start looking for a new house. Upon meeting a con-artist, the two are sucked into buying a beautiful old mansion at a precariously low price. Of course, the minute Walter and Anna actually move in, things start to fall apart. In an attempt to save what's left, they decide to renovate the existing structure of the house. But even that turns out to be a daunting task.

The cast includes: Tom Hanks, Shelley Long, Maureen Stapleton, Alexander Gudunov, Joe Mategna, Philip Bosco, and Josh Mostel.
