On the night of Christmas Eve a doubting boy who has lost his faith in Santa Claus ventures outside his house to find a trains conductor inviting him along for a ride to the North Pole. Once aboard he realizes he is one of many children onboard the adventurous endeavor where, once there, they will have an experience that makes everyone believe again.
